Gladys Eileen Gray, 85, of Mechanicsville, MD formerly of District Heights, MD passed away on January 30, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Wallace E. and Elizabeth G. Moessner.

Eileen worked as a secretary for the Federal Government and retired from the Census Bureau. She served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 29 years and received the Silver Beaver Award for her service as a Leader in Scouting.

She was married to the late Charles R. (Bob) Gray and is survived by her children, Theresa, Michael (Beverly), Carl (Sue), Linda (Curtis) and George (Leatha). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jessica, Kevin (Gwyn), Christina, Joseph (Brittany), Steven (Stephanie), Curtis, Jr., Robert, Jacob and Stephanie. She also leaves three great granddaughters, Cheyenne, Maddison and Bristol.

Friends may call on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8pm with prayers at 7:00 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 28297 Old Village Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Mechanicsville, MD.
