Barbara Ann McDonagh, 81, of Hughesville, MD passed on January 24, 2016 at Sagepoint Senior Living in La Plata, MD. Born November 28, 1934 in Leonardtown, MD she was the daughter of the late Elmer R. Jarboe and Etoyle E. Dawson Jarboe.

She married Clarence O'Connell McDonagh, Jr. on March 19, 1955. Barbara began her Administrative Assistant/Secretarial career at the AFL-CIO in Washington, DC. She worked for her brothers at the Charlotte Hall Lumber Company and several other local businesses before retiring from Town Hall in La Plata after 14 years.

In addition to her parents Barbara is predeceased by her sister Ella Maureen Bowling, and brothers Paul Jarboe, Merton Jarboe, and Dawson Jarboe.

Barbara is survived by her husband Clarence O'Connell McDonagh Jr. "Mac"; sons Clarence O. "Mac" McDonagh, III (Brenda), Michael Glenn McDonagh (Kim), James Brian McDonagh (Vicki); daughters Sharon Elizabeth McDonagh, and Joan Marie Grandy; Ten grandchildren Mackie, Michael, Sean, Kelly, Whitney, Casey, Kirby, Kelsey, Katelyn, Kyleigh and five great-grandchildren Emily, Sloan, Temperence, Peyton and Zachary.

Family will welcome friends for a Life Celebration and viewing on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall MD, 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Bryantown, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, Maryland 20617.
