Jack Dempsey Langley, 95, of Hollywood, MD died January 19, 2016 at Charlotte Hall Veteran's Home, surrounded by his loving family. Born August 11, 1920 in Washington, NC, he is the son of the late David Sidney Langley and Laura Virginia Woolard.

On July 20, 1944, Jack proudly enlisted in the United States Army and served his country as a BAR Rifleman until his honorable discharge on December 21, 1945. He spent his career working for the federal government as a naval engineer until his retirement.

In June 1977, he married his beloved wife, Mary Margaret Cooper and together they celebrated over 28 years of marriage before her passing in 2005. In retirement he enjoyed working as a charter boat captain, which gave him to enjoy his favorite hobbies, fishing and crabbing.

Jack is survived by his sons, Tony Langley of Hollywood, MD and Jayde Dempsey Langley of Vacaville, CA; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Cooper, and son, Andy Langley.

All services will be private. Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, MD.
