Mildred Louise Carroll, 81, of Mechanicsville, Md. passed away on January 14, 2016 at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, Md. Born August 5, 1934 in Johnson City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Verner Emmit Smith and the late Louise Stewart.

Mildred was a devoted wife to her husband of fifty years, Robert Carroll. She was a caring mother and grandmother who lovingly raised three sons and a daughter. She enjoyed sewing, decorating, collecting, and baking.

Mildred is predeceased by her parents, husband Robert Carroll; sons Ricky Jack Jenkins and Ronnie James Jenkins, and sister Lois Allman. Mildred is survived by her son Steve Carroll and his wife Luz of Leonardtown, MD; daughter Sherrye Renee Montgomery and her husband John of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers Bill Thomas and Bob Thomas; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Family will welcome friends for Mildred's Life Celebration on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and prayers at 7:00 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd. Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A funeral service led by Rev. Beverly Weatherly will be held on Friday, January 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., followed by interment at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
