John Ellery "Johnny" Haynes, 56, of North Beach passed away January 11, 2016 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born November 7, 1959 in Prince Frederick to Ellery Cleary, Jr. and Patricia Jane (Hussey) Haynes.

Johnny was raised in North Beach, and attended Beach Elementary and Northern High School. He was employed with Capitol Door as a commercial glass installer and also worked as a commercial crabber. Johnny was a member of the Stallings-Williams American Legion Post 206 Sons of the American Legion in Chesapeake Beach. He enjoyed the outdoors and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by siblings Sharon K. Denis and husband Gary of Lusby, Janet Thomas and husband Bill of North Beach, George A. Haynes of Chesapeake Beach, Donald C. Haynes and wife Aimee of Huntingtown and Ellery C. Haynes III of North Beach. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Johnny's life will be held Wednesday, January 13, from 7-9 PM at Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., Owings. Arrangements provided by Rausch Funeral Home.
