Elizabeth Victoria Jenkins, 84, of Lexington Park, MD died October 13, 2006 at her residence.

Born December 8, 1921 in Jarboesville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Veronica Lavinia Gough and Louis Fenwick. Elizabeth was a life-long resident of St. Mary's County. Elizabeth worked outside the home as well as being a homemaker. She worked in food service for a number of restaurants in St. Mary's County and at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD. Elizabeth was ever so proud of being a farmer. She loved sharing stories of her childhood on the farm and seeing her family plant and harvest crops and raise livestock on land that had been in her family for over 100 years.

Her husband, Johnny Jenkins preceded Elizabeth in death on October 8, 2006. She was married to Johnny for 52 years and leaves behind six loving children: Francis Aloysius Fenwick and his wife Christine of Lexington Park, MD, Joseph Lester Price and his wife Vernell of Lexington Park, MD, Melvin Price and his wife Jeanette of Ridge, MD, Viola Laird and her husband Walter of Mitchellville, MD, Rudolph Jenkins of San Diego, CA and June Allen and her husband Clarke of Alameda, CA. She has 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild. She had nine brothers and sisters of which, Mary Agnes Price, Francis Carroll Fenwick and Christine Veronica Price are still with the family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Lexington Park, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. The Reverend Mike Dolan and Reverend Damian Shadwell will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
