Paul "Leroy" Herbert, 90, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on October 24, 2015 at Cedar Lane Senior Living in Leonardtown, MD. Leroy was born April 22, 1925 in Mechanicsville, MD to the late Robert Theodore Herbert and the late Mary Ozema Moran, the youngest of 16.

Leroy worked at BG&E at Calvert Cliffs as supervisor of maintenance prior to his retirement. Prior to BG&E, he drove a tractor trailer truck and delivered fuel oil. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing, boating, watching westerns and farming.

In addition to his parents, Leroy was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lucille Herbert of 67 years; and all of his siblings. He is survived by his son, Philip Lee Herbert (Carole), daughter, Debra Ann Black (Earl); grandchildren: Heather Herbert, Greg Herbert (Allison), Sarah Hope (Jon), Kaitlin Black and Christopher Black (Kayla); great grandchildren: Layla Hope, Kallie Hope, Savannah Hope, Preston Herbert, Peyton Herbert and special person, Donna Herbert.

Family will receive friends for Leroy's Life Celebration on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm with prayers at 7:00pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 10:00am Immaculate Conception Church, 28297 Old Village Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659 with Father Michael Tietjen officiating. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 38888 Dr. Johnson Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659.

Pallbearers will be: Earl Black, Chris Black, Bobby Lowe, Greg Herbert, Stach Hall and Jon Hope.
