Ralph W. Hancock Sr., age 79, died at his home in Port Tobacco on October 6, 2015. He was born on July 16, 1936 in Washington, DC and was the son of the late Gladys B. and Richard E. Hancock. Mr.

Hancock served in the U. S. Air Force and later worked as an air conditioning mechanic at the Naval Research Lab. He enjoyed playing golf running marathons, woodworking, boating and fishing.

Mr. Hancock was preceded in death by his siblings Gladys Balderson, John, Edward, Gene and Norman Hancock. He is survived by his wife Carol; children Ralph Jr. (Leslie) and Tirzah (Sherryl) Hancock; sisters Betty Ryon, Edna Ketchum and Janet Kay; grandson Reid Hancock.

Visitation on October 11, 2015 from 2PM to 5PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, MD 20646. Mass on October 12, 2015 at 10AM at St. Ignatius Catholic Church Hilltop, 6455 Port Tobacco Road, Port Tobacco, MD 20677. Interment St. Charles Cemetery Indian Head, MD.
