Clifton Juanito Lee Yake, or best known simply as CJ, passed away in the morning hours of September 30, 2015 due to complications stemming from his battle with leukemia. Born on May 11, 1986 to Harry Lee and Maria Soledad Yake, CJ was the youngest of their five children. CJ lived much of his life in Indian Head, before settling in Newburg, after moving from his childhood home in Welcome, Maryland.

CJ enjoyed playing the piano, singing, cars, negotiating deals, traveling, and watching the Washington Redskins. He was considered a true best friend by many as evidenced by acting as the best man in several of his friends weddings including those of a brother and nephew. CJ had a charismatic, friendly, caring persona, and just had a way about him that brought everyone together.

CJ was preceded in death by his father Harry Lee Yake Jr. who he is now rejoined whom he lost too early in life, his aunt Trinidad "Tina" Jimenez Heuer-Johnson, and sister in law Betty Irene Mae Yake.

CJ is survived by his mother Maria Soledad Yake, aunt Juanita Jimenez, sister Maria Yake, brothers Harry, Kenny, and Nathaniel Yake, and many nieces and nephews. CJ also left behind the love of his life, his fiancée, Danielle Nagle. CJ will be sorely missed not just by the entire family, but the many friends and acquaintances that had the fortune of knowing CJ during his too brief of time spent here with us.

We will be celebrating his most amazing 29 years on this life's journey on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Scotts Bar II in Welcome, MD. The service and time for speaking will be from 5-6pm. Following the service we will be celebrating CJ style! Assistance with funeral costs are much appreciated. Please go to www.gofundme.com/jj5gusq4 to donate.
