James "Jimmy" Dodohara, age 51, of Indian Head, MD passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the University of MD Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD with his family by his side.

Left to cherish loving memories are his wife Jennifer, his son Jake, his father Hiroshi, his sister Cathy (Donnie) Cooper; a niece and several nephews.

Jimmy graduated from Henry E. Lackey High School in 1982 and was a lifelong resident of Charles County, MD. He spent many years as a software developer for the U.S. Navy. Jimmy was well known for his love of music and spent over 30 years playing his trumpet with the Southern Maryland Concert Band, the College of Southern Maryland's Solid Brass, and in the pit orchestra at the Port Tobacco Players. Jimmy was the coach of the Swamp Dogs softball team for 20 years and also enjoyed traveling, golf, and watching the Redskins.

Friends were received on Monday, October 5, 2015 from 5-8PM with a Funeral Service at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service Chapel in La Plata, MD. Interment was private. Memorials contributions may be made to an education fund for Jake: Merrill Lynch Next Gen 529 FBO Jacob Dodohara, PO Box 404, Indian Head, MD 20640. Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.
