Mr. O'Rourke was an insurance salesman for many years with People"s Life Insurance company in Waldorf, Md. He had also worked as a bartender with Gene"s Las Vegas and for Frank Abell"s Restuarant. He loved southern Maryland and will always be known for his laughter. He enjoyed playing cards and eating crabs with friends.

Son of the late Marshall O'Rourke and the late Lila Grace Beck O'Rourke.

Predeceased by his parents; his loving wife, Ruth Middleton O'Rourke; son John D. O'Rourke; brothers Morris, Walter and Bernerd O'Rourke; sisters Colleen McCamey and Shirley Danjoy.

Survived by hIs three sons, Jeffrey (Robyn) Okazaki of Waldorf, Md., Richard (Patty) O'Rourke of Pa., and Dennis O'Rourke of Pa. , three daughters, Lisa (Joe) Lambright of Colo., Mary O'Rourke of Pa., and Kathy Wright of St. Mary's County, Md., one sister Helen Lemmon; two brothers Calvin and Marshall O'Rourke; 11 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 5-8 pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel , La Plata, Md. 20646.

Service on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Interment at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Waldorf, Md.
