Shawna Noelle Hawkins, 14, of La Plata, MD, passed away at Children's Hospital in Washington, DC on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Born December 2, 2000 in Leonardtown, Md., she was the daughter of Jason Daniel Hawkins and Moniqua Corrine Mackenzie McCabe.

Shawna was a student at Piccowaxen Middle School. She enjoyed making crafts with clay, art and finding sharks teeth on the beach, listening to rock, watching "Adventure Time," hanging with Geoffre, or playing basketball or volleyball.

Shawna is survived by her parents, Jason Hawkins and Monique McCabe; brothers, Geoffrey Hawkins and Bradley Hawkins.

The family will receive friends for Shawna''s Life Celebration Memorial Visitation on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm at South Potomac Church, 4915 Crain Hwy, White Plains, MD 20695. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00p.m.
