![]() Samuel "Sam" Nicholas Kladitis, age 81, of Pomfret, MD died on September 8, 2015 at the Southern MD Hospital Center in Clinton, MD.
Sam was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was fluent in three languages. He was a graduate of Youngstown University of a B.S. degree, the University of Colorado with a Master's degree, and the George Washington University with a Master's degree. He was also a high school art teacher and retired as the Fairfax County School System Art Chairman after 28 years of service. After school retirement, he was in the U.S. Navy Security. He enjoyed going to the gym daily to visit with his friends. He is the son of the late Nicholas Samuel and Evangeline Economides Kladitis. He was also predeceased by his sister, Neina Koufou. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gale Strickland Kladitis; his sons, Johnathan Alexander Kladitis and Nicholas Samuel Kladitis; and his sister, Mary Lipak. There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 2:00-3:30PM at the Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.
