Louise R. Butler, 79, of Waldorf, MD affectionately known as "Ruthy" to her family and friends. She fought a good fight until God called her home to glory on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Born in New York City to Herbert and Marie Brotherson on January 20, 1936.

She leaves to cherish her memories and sweet spirit her husband of 56 years John Francis Butler, daughter LaVida Brotherson, son Andre Butler (Sheila), three grandchildren Carisia Cooper Whitaker , Kirk & Sherella Butler; six great-grandchildren, a host of family and friends whom she loved dearly.

A celebration of Louise's life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617. Closed casket visitation with the family at 10:00 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Interment Private. Arrangements provided by Adams Funeral Home.
