Hilda Elizabeth Fields, 63, of Waldorf, MD passed away with her family by her side on August 18, 2015, at her residence in Waldorf, MD. Born in Washington, DC on November 5, 1951 she is the daughter of the late Lawirene Harper, Sr. and Inez Harper. In addition to her father, Hilda was predeceased by her brother, Lawirene Harper, Jr. and son-in-law, Louis Jackson, II.

Hilda, affectionately known as "Sissy Gal" enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping.

Hilda is survived by her loving husband, Elliott Fields; daughter, Laneka Jackson; stepdaughter, Marla Chestnut; mother, Inez Harper; brothers, Winston Harper and Anthony Harper, Sr.; sisters, Mayo Oduwku and Tondria Reid; grandchildren, Louis Jackson, III and Lawrence Jackson; step grandchildren, Ajjammal, Jamia and Janiah and a host of relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends for Hilda's Life Celebration on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 9-11am at Union Bethel A.M.E Church, 6810 Floral Park Road, Brandywine, MD 20613 followed with a Funeral Service at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD. Arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
