Raymond Omer Gagnon, 72, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on August 10, 2015 at his home in Mechanicsville, MD with his family at his bedside. Born December 26, 1942 to the late Joseph T. Gagnon and the late Eveline Mercier Gagnon in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Raymond enjoyed wine making, boating, fishing, hunting, golfing, corn hole, horse shoes, BMX, tennis and Rays Rules.

Raymond worked for the Federal Government for 30 years as a Health Services Officer with the Department of Health & Human Services. During his tenure there he contributed to the development and conduct of the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) and worked closely with professional physician organizations in providing special data from the NAMCS to meet their needs. In addition, he created employee gyms in every building where NCHS has been housed and received the 1995 CDC Employee Humanitarian Service Award for this effort.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his brother, Richard Gagnon. Raymond is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years, Janice Gagnon; his sons, Craig Gagnon of California, MD, Brian Gagnon of Leonardtown, MD; brothers, Ronnie Gagnon, Ross Gagnon; and four grandchildren.

Family will receive friends for Raymond's Memorial Life Celebration Gathering on August 14, 2015 from 5pm to 7pm with a Memorial Service at 6pm at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
