Perry Eugene Pritchard, 74 of Mechanicsville, MD died on April 15, 2008 at his residence.

Born December 25, 1933, he was the son of the late Albert Perry and Arvada Sadie Scadden Pritchard.

Perry was born in a small town, Carl, Iowa. After a short time his mother and father packed up and moved to Estes Park, CO, where he lived until he was a teen. They moved to Longmont, CO, where he graduated from Longmont High School. While in high school, Perry met and fell in love with B. Marlene McKinney. They married February 15, 1953, they had three wonderful children, Rickey, Diana and Patrick. In 1988, Perry, Marlene and Patrick moved to MD to be closer to Rickey and his family.

He was best known as a salesman/buyer of many things. He last worked with J&R Supply where he loved collecting past due accounts and taking orders. Perry also loved the Denver Broncos, Youth football with Pat and nick, NASCAR, RC car racing, collectible model cars, the family's dogs and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities.

In 1995 Marlene passed away. After spending years raising his grandchildren, Nicholas and Natasha on May 12, 2005 he met a very special person to him, Mary Mattia. He was given the prognosis of cancer in 2006 and was told he had a very short time left. He set out to beat the odds and won by 13 months, until April 15, 2008 when he could no longer handle the pain of the cancer. He was always there for his family and friends and his sweetheart Mary.

In addition to his parents Mr. Pritchard was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie "Marlene" Pritchard and daughter Diana F. Pritchard Finn. He is survived by his children, Rickey W. Pritchard of Mechanicsville, MD and Pat A. Pritchard of Hollywood, MD, grandchildren; Nicholas and Natasha Finn, Bryan, Brandon, Brent and Samantha Pritchard and Steven and Kyle Johnson, great-grandchildren; Bryann Pritchard, Corey Davis, Larry Reedy, David Pritchard, Rylan Peyton and Riana Finn, and loving companion Mary Mattia.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 11AM to 1PM in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall, MD where Perry's Life Celebration will be held at 1:00PM with Father Soley officiating.
