Lorna Jean Shingleton, 54, of Mechanicsville MD passed away on August 1, 2015 at Hospice House of St. Mary's in Callaway, MD with her children by her side. Lorna was born on April 6, 1961 in Camp Springs, MD to the late Paul Roger Shingleton, Sr. and the late Mary Katherine Peters Shingleton.

Lorna enjoyed reading and writing poetry and quotes, traveling to Ireland, Costa Rica, Bahamas and Scotland. She loved the Redskins, shopping, exercising and spoiling her grandbabies. Lorna's famous saying was "Always say I love you".

Lorna is survived by her son, Michal Collins Jr (Skyy Maynard); daughters, Amanda Jean Powell and Leigha D. Shingleton. Brothers, Bruce Chase (Jennifer) and Paul Roger Shingleton, Jr. (Christine) Sisters, Sandy Chase, Nancy Neff (Alan) and Paula Bailey (John). Grandchildren, Andrew Hughes, Tre Collins, Jordan Priolo, Alize Collins, Za'kiah Collins, Mission Collins and many other relatives and friends. As well as her pet companions Shelby, Layla, Simba and Mia.

Family will receive friends for Lorna's Life Celebration Gathering on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5-7 with a Memorial Service at 7:00pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, PA 30195 Three Notch Rd, Charlotte Hall MD 20622.
