Rubein Ralph Sandy of Mechanicsville, Maryland died at his home on Thursday, January 05, 2006. He was 83 years old.

Born October 28, 1922 in Washington, DC to the late Mary Marie Maske and Julian Ralph Sandy. Mr. Sandy served in the U. S. Army during World War II before being Honorably Discharged at the rank of Technician Four. He worked in the construction trade as well as running a farm.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Daniel James Sandy and his granddaughter Mary Valinda Wawrynziak.

He is survived by his wife Madeline K. Sandy, daughters Pamela Keller of Mechanicsville, MD, Penny Wieser of Mechanicsville, MD, Terri Williams of Kissimme, FL, Brenda Lyon of Dameron, MD and Lorrie McVerry of Mechanicsville, MD; sisters Catherine Syndor of Hollywood, MD and Mildred Ford; extended family Ralph, Vickie, Dianna and Veronica Taylor; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

Family to receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2006 from 2PM to 6PM with Prayers at 5PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, Maryland where Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2006 at 10:30AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery Clinton, Maryland. Pallbearers are grandsons A. J. Lyon, Brian McVerry, Justin McVerry, Dino Mahaffey, Tommy Redding, Danny Lyon, Mike Sandy and great grandson Josh Wawrzyniak. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons Kevin McVerry and Tony Crotwell.
