![]() Peggy Love Lawrence, 62, of Lexington Park, MD died on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Hospice House of St. Mary's in Callaway, MD, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 7, 1953 in Saltville, VA she is the daughter of Virginia Louise Doane of Romney, WV and the late Eugene Lacy Ritter. In addition to her father, she is also predeceased by her Pop, Buster Ale.
Peggy worked for Montgomery County Public Schools as a bus aide for handicap students for over twenty years. She had a great love and patience for children. On May 21, 1976, she married her beloved husband, Marvin Lawrence. She was an excellent cook and baker. Some of her most famous recipes included stuffed green peppers and lemon pound cake. Was always organized and found great pleasure in doing things for other people. She enjoyed buying special gifts for her family and friends. She loved animals, especially her dog "Lucky." She enjoyed watching many sports, and cheering on the Washington Redskins. She also enjoyed taking trips and spending her time with her family, which was her greatest love. In addition to her mother, Peggy is survived by her children, Douglas Calcutt (Cynthia) of Washington, D.C., Clark Calcutt (Nabiha) of Lexington Park, MD, and Melissa Lawrence of Silver Spring, MD; her sister, Sue Quinn (Martin) of Romney, WV; her brothers, Robert Ritter (Audrey) of Augusta, WV., and Lacy Frye (Lana) of Saltville, VA; six grandchildren, Victoria Calcutt, Kyle Calcutt, Emma Calcutt, Greyson Calcutt, Roman Zayat, and Jerry Escoe; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father and husband, she is also preceded in death by her step-father, Ale Lawrence. Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a Celebration of Life at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
