Theda Inez Graves, 73, of Leonardtown, MD died April 7, 2008 in St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD.

Born March 13, 1935 in Coeburn, VA, she was the daughter of the late George Horace Ward and Della Carter Ward. Theda married John R. Graves in November 1953. She was employed by the Lexington Park Cleaners for nineteen years.

Theda is survived by her daughter, Crystal Laschalt of Leonardtown, MD, her grandchildren, Lisa and husband Roger Simmons, Jr. and Craig Scott, and two sisters, Poda Ward of Loveville, MD and Letha Dement of Great Mills, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Graves, and siblings, Annette Ridgell, Lucille Neill, and Harlis Ward, son in law, Charles B. Laschalt.

The family will receive friends for Theda's Life Celebration on Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Life Celebration Chapel, Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. Reverend John Dakes will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.

Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Ward, Ronald Ward, Jimmy Norris, Charlie Norris, Jake Langley and Stewart Dement.
