On Saturday, June 6, 2015 God called home one of his angels, Carrie Miles, to her reward while at Chesapeake Shores Nursing Home in Lexington Park, MD. Carrie was born on April 22, 1929 in Loveville, MD, to Milton Berry and Annie Gray Berry. She was the youngest of ten children.

She received her education through St. Mary's County Public Schools. On May 20, 1950 she wedded the late, James Walter Miles of Chaptico, MD.

Carrie was a cook at Lenny's restaurant in Hollywood, MD for 38 years. During her life she was a member of Galilee United Methodist Church. She was also a willing worker at Ebenezer AME Church of Charlotte Hall. While attending the church she also participated in the Ebenezer Choir.

Carrie leaves fond memories in the hearts of her loving children; Barbara A. Jordan (Elmer) of Lexington Park, MD, Howard Miles (Dana) of Odenton, MD, James M. Miles (Patricia) of Lexington Park, MD, Connie D Hewlett of Hollywood, MD, Brenda L Harper (Stanley) of Frederick, MD, Paula J Greene (Ron) of King George, VA, Timothy W. Miles of Greeley, Colorado, Steven M. Miles (Chia) of Germantown, MD, Christopher M. Miles of Hollywood, MD. She also leaves to cherish her living brother Wallace Berry and sister-in-law Genevieve Berry, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded her in death; Father Milton Berry, Mother Annie Gray Berry, Sisters, Annie Young, Henrietta Berry, Louise Bonds. Brothers, Benjamin Berry, Augusta Berry, Turner Berry, Francis Saint Berry, and John Wesley Berry.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hollywood United Methodist Church, Hollywood, MD 20636. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Stanley Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
