Harold (Harry) Francis Guerin, age 89, of Waldorf, MD passed away peacefully on June 3, 2015 at his residence. Harry was born on February 7, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY.

He was predeceased by his father, Harold Aloysius Guerin; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Brooks Guerin; and his sisters, Mary Jane Osborne and husband Norman and Patricia Guerin.

Harry attended St. Francis School and became a paper boy for the Brooklyn Eagle at the age of 9 (his favorite job). He joined the Merchant Marines when he was 17 years old during World War II and traveled through Russia, Greece, Italy, Holland, the Philippines, and other places during his tour. He was in on the invasion of Normandy, delivering tanks and jeeps for the troops. Throughout his life, he had many jobs such as bus driver, NY Harbor tug boats, Otis Elevators, and the Pennsylvania Railroad.

He met his beautiful wife, Kathleen June Streppone Guerin from Queens NY, and they had four children.

When the railroad folded, he applied for a government job in Washington, DC in 1966 and they moved to MD. Harry worked for GSA as an Elevator Mechanic until he retired. Anyone lucky enough to know Harry has heard his stories and remembers them. His sense of humor was that of a true New Yorker. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren is, and will always be, tremendous.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Kathleen June Guerin; his daughters, Vicky Canter, Carol Dawn, Janice Wedding and husband George; his son, Vincent Francis Guerin; his grandchildren, Harry Canter and wife Crystal, Kenny Canter and wife Erin, Rachel Bean and husband Michael, Kathleen Guerin, June Link and husband JC, Patrick Guerin, Michael Guerin, and Francis Wedding; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Dominick, Brooklyn, Ava, Audrey, Mitchell, and baby Abigail.
