Virginia Eleanor Windsor, 90, of Mechanicsville, MD formerly of Bladensburg, MD passed away May 31, 2015 at St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD. Born July 10, 1924 in Virginia, she was the daughter of James Benjamin Freeman and Martha Ney Freeman.

Virginia was a retired cafeteria cook for the University of Maryland. She enjoyed country music, especially Hank Williams, Sr., Tammy Wynette and Conway Twitty. She loved driving, shopping and "FeFe", her poodle. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Predeceased by her parents; son, James "Butch" Windsor; 3 brothers and 7 sisters, Virginia is survived by children Dennis L. Windsor, Corry E. Windsor and Regina A. Windsor; daughter-in-law, Helena Windsor; sister, Cornelia Knight; grandchildren, James E. Windsor, Jr., Stacey Lea Cogbill, Dennis L. Windsor, Jr. and Wendy Lea Dutton; great -grandchildren, Nichole Sarah Windsor, Hannah Marie Windsor, Danielle McKenzie Windsor, Gavin Benjamin Cogbill, Landon Marshall Cogbill, Ryland Alexander Cogbill, Madelyn Dutton and Miranda Dutton.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols. Father John Ball will officiate. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home.
