Victoria "Sis" Bowling Cook, 85, of La Plata, MD passed away May 23, 2015 at Sagepoint Senior Care, La Plata, MD. Born March 28, 1930 in La Plata, MD she was the daughter of Charles Alfred Bowling and Madeline Higgs Bowling. She was raised by Miss Annie "Susie" E. Bowling.

She dearly loved her late husband, Marion Davis Cook, Sr. and late son, Marion Davis Cook, Sr. Together was their favorite place to be.

Predeceased by her husband and son; siblings, Charles D. Bowling, Henry Wallace Bowling, Arnold Bowling, Charles Ellsworth Bowling, LaRue Redmond, Aileen Duncan and Clarabelle Umber, she is survived by sister, Irma Bowling Graves , many nieces and nephews, and a large amount of cousins. For many years she was taken care of by her brother Charles' children – Judith E. Gough, Charles E."Eddie" Bowling,, Betty D. Saunders, John A. Bowling and Donald A. Bowling.

Sis loved to feed people and was known for her bountiful buffets. She was a farmer and had great physical strength. Sis was strong willed and was known for being outspoken. She was deeply moved by nature and the farm where she lived on Wallace Bowling Lane was truly her "happy place".

The family will receive friends for Victoria's Life Celebration on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Rev. James Chance will conduct a Funeral Service on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols. Interment will follow at Dentsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Bowling, Ryan Bowling, Chris Bowling, Brian Gough, Butch Bowling and Laura Saunders Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Washington, Charles Washington, Logan Tobler, David Bowling, Justin Barrett , William Bowling, Heather Bowling , Amy Bowling & Phillip Herbert.
