Mrs. Riege moved to Washington, DC from Cumberland, MD and Grand Forks, North Dakota. She worked for the F.B.I. and Naval Research. She married her husband in 1958. She loved bowling, painting and being with her grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Homer Wheeler and the late Ruth Maxwell Wheeler.

Survived by her husband Delmer Riege; two sons David (Melissa) Riege and Andrew Riege both of La Plata, MD; one daughter Kelly (John) Gjovik of Grand Forks, ND; one brother Homer "Mickey" Wheeler of La Plata, MD; two sisters Joan "Jackie" Lusk of Washington State and June East of Bryantown, MD; two grandchildren Bethany and Rachel Riege.

Visitation on Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 3PM to 5PM and 6PM to 8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service on Friday, April 11, 2008 11AM at Grace Lutheran Church La Plata, MD. Clergy will be Reverend Timothy Steele. Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Interment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, Maryland.
