On Sunday, May 3, 2015 Derek Anthony Colquitt of Waldorf, Maryland entered into eternal rest. He was the devoted son of the late Michael Colquitt and Victoria Evelyn Johnson.

Derek was a well-known and talented musician in the Go-Go music community. His vivacious smile and sincere heart has touched the lives of many.

Derek leaves to cherish his loving memory with his mother Victoria Johnson; his grandmother Ms. Dollie Colquitt; 13 children; his brothers and sisters Jerald Graham (Kim), Michael (Sabrina) Colquitt, Angel Colquitt, Jamilah Colquitt, Starr Colquitt and Ricardo Colquitt and hosts of aunts and uncles and other relatives.

A Celebration of Life service for Derek will be held on May 12, 2015 at the Howard Theatre, 620 T Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. The viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the celebration services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment Private. Arrangements provided by Adams Funeral Home.
