![]() Vincent Charles "Vinnie" Warring, 85, of Waldorf, MD passed away at his residence on May 6, 2015 in the company of his family and close friends after a long battle with lung disease. Born November 5, 1929 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late James T. Warring and Martha L. Danforth Warring.
Vinnie was a lifelong employee of James T. Warring Sons, Inc.; his father's barrel and drum company and served as the president since 1976. Vinnie was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryantown. He was concerned for the Catholic schools in the Southern Maryland region and served on the Archdiocese School Board and was President of St. Mary's Bryantown Parent Teacher Association in the 70's. As a young man, while attending St. John's College High School in Washington, DC, he earned the nickname of "Cheetah" for his running speed and endurance. He also enjoyed the Yo-Yo and displayed his talents often. His passion for electric trains was evident by his collection and enjoyment of smiling faces while sharing them with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing bingo, golfing, boating but most of all spending time with his large family. Vinnie had the pleasure of two long marriages and is predeceased by his first wife of 28 years, Eileen M. Warring and his second wife of 20 years Patricia A. Warring; his daughter, Irene M. Warring; step-daughter, Debra A. Rogers; granddaughter, Elizabeth J. Warring and grandson, Robert R. Warring; brothers, Milton T. Warring, Sr., James B. Warring, Sr., Joseph M. Warring, Sr. and only sister, Martha L. "Sis" Warring; and son-in-law, Todd A. Rogers. Vinnie is survived by his six sons; Patrick J., Vincent C., Jr., Francis E., Kevin L., Sean R. and Colin M. Warring; daughter, Martha L. Haynes; step-son, John T. Deaton; son-in-law, Charles J. Haynes II; daughters-in-law, Sheila P., Joyce A. and Jill T. Warring; 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and very dear friends, Larry E. McCleaf and Mary C. Pruitt. The family will receive friends for "Vinnie's" Life Celebration on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00p.m. with prayers at 7:00p.m. located at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. located at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD. Interment will follow in the Church's cemetery.
