John Leon Trossbach, 80, of Dameron died April 4, 2008, at his residence.

Born Aug. 5, 1927, in Dameron, he was the son of the late Francis Leo Trossbach and Mary Andrews Trossbach.

He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and playing cards, especially pitch.

He was a volunteer for Christmas in April and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by four children, Mary Sanders, Joe Trossbach (Lisa) and Leonard Trossbach, all of Dameron, and Francis Trossbach (Susan) of Great Mills; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary F. Peacock of Dameron and Margaret ''Bertie" Stone (Charles) of Welcome.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Laurel Reynolds; and a son, David Trossbach.

The family received friends and prayers were recited April 7 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ridge. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated April 8 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with Monsignor Maurice O'Connell serving as the celebrant.

Interment followed at the church cemetery.
