Malvin Walter Gray Jr., passed on the morning of April 20, 2015 at Washington Medical Center. Malvin was born in Prince Georges County to Frances Novella Gray and Malvin W. Gray, Sr. on March 19, 1955.

Malvin, known to his friends as "Alkie", recently retired from the Prince Georges County Government. During his free time, Malvin could be found hanging out at a car show or the race track with his usual smile and friendly disposition.

Malvin is survived by his mother Frances Novella Gray; his two sons (and spouses): Malvin (Vivian) J. Gray and Delonta (Kathy) E. Gray; son-in-law Tyrone Butler, Sr.; five grandchildren: Tyja Compton-Gray, Brian Gray, Tyrone Butler, Jr., Anthony Gray, and Octavia Gray. Malvin is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law; Cecilia and Russell Jackson and two nieces; Valerie and Christina Toye. He was preceded in death by his father; Malvin W. Gray, Sr. and daughter; Elizabeth R. Butler.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 17502 Aquasco Road, Baden, Maryland from 6:00-8:00 p.m. continuing on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, Maryland.
