Ora M. Phillips, 89, of Newburg, MD passed away on April 7, 2015 at Sagepoint Senior Living in La Plata, MD. Ora was born on April 4, 1926 in Hagerstown, MD. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, the late Oscar A. Phillips, Jr.

Ora is survived by her children, Oscar Phillips, III, Geraldine Bennett and Shirley McLalughlin; as well as her grandchildren, Sharon DiSandro and Matthew Phillips, and great-grandchild, Rebecca DiSandro.

Ora was a homemaker who loved to drive, watch movies and listen to country music. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 PM. Arrangements provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
