Charles Matthew Knott, 62, of Mechanicsville, MD died on April 7, 2015 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Born February 26, 1953 in Washington, DC to the late Thomas Walter Knott, Sr. and the late Dorothy Marie Barrett Dant.

Charlie was the owner of Creative Karpet & Kitchen Designs, Inc. and a Master Carpet Carver and Installer. Charlie enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, gardening, boating, and traveling the islands.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Charlotte Dumas Knott, son, Charles Matthew Knott, Jr. (Samantha Knott); daughters, Christine Dianne Knott (Daniel Krouse), Cynthia Knott Guimaraes (Alexandre Guimaraes); brothers, Tommy Knott, Bobby Knott, Jimmy Knott, Johnny Knott; sister, Debbie Myers; grandchildren, Alexis Vinson-Knott, Amber Guimaraes, Devin Knott, Ryan Knott, Lauren Krouse and dog, Zeeva.

A Life Celebration Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00pm, with Pastor Tony Wright officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home.
