Helmer "Bucky" William Burch, 81, of Waldorf, MD died Tuesday, April 1, 2015 at Genesis Waldorf Center. He was born May 11, 1933 in Washington, DC to the late Harry A. and Ida V. Pearl Burch. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two wives; Marion Burch and Jean C. Burch, one daughter Dori Morrison and eleven brothers and sisters.

Bucky was a retired mechanic. He was a classic car enthusiast and loved to take car rides around Charles County and occasionally crossing over the bridge to Virginia. He loved his dogs Bo and Pookie. Bucky was a "good man" kind and gentle. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his long-time companion Mary "Nootsie" Bassford, two sons; Kevin William Burch and his wife Delores and William Joseph Burch and his wife Carla, two daughters Susan Brophy and her husband Tim and Shelly Burch, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:30AM at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will follow at Washington National Cemetery, 4101 Suitland Road, Suitland, MD 20746.
