![]() On March 10, 2015, our beloved brother, uncle and friend Paul Anthony Greenfield was called home to be with the Lord. He was surrounded by loving family members. Paul was born on November 6, 1954, in Hughesville, MD, the youngest of nine children to the late Joseph and Mary Ellen Greenfield.
He attended St. Mary's of Bryantown School. After graduating from high school, he entered the Army. Paul served in the U.S. Army from September 13, 1972 to September 4, 1974. His military occupational specialty was infantry. While serving in the Army, he received the National Defense Service Medal, for marksmanship M-16 and hand grenades. He enjoyed playing electronic poker and watching old Western televisions shows. Paul was a very generous person. He would always be willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Many know Paul to be very quiet and because of that ever asked for much; therefore, he was very appreciative of the small things, such as a pair of new slippers given to his on Christmas day. Paul is survived by two brothers; Joseph (Joe Baby) and Michael; two sisters, Martha (Diane) and Mary Ellen; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Paul Jr., Brothers: James (Pete), John (Fatty), William (Billy), and George (Nubby). Through his trials and tribulations, he remained strong and faced the world with unparalleled hope and optimism. He has served his purpose here with us but the time has come for him to be at peace and become the angel we all know him to be. He will be missed dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 17502 Aquasco Road, Baden, Maryland from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Interment Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, Maryland.
