Ronald (Ron) Lee Kable, 76, of Mechanicsville, Maryland passed away on March 14, 2015 at Georgetown University Hospital, in Washington, DC. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Charles Kable.
Ronald is survived by, Susan Albertson his loving partner of 27 years, sons, Christopher Kable of Deltona, Florida, Barney Kable (Kristl) of Manassas, Virginia, grandchildren, McKenna and Christopher, sisters, Lorraine Kable Houser (Robert) of Middletown, Pennsylvania and Donna Kable Pearson of Oxnard, California. Ron proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged after earning several medals and awards, including the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. An illustrious career at Naval Air Test Center, Patuxent River, Maryland followed where he played an instrumental part in the U.S. Navy's newest automatic carrier landing systems (ACLS). During his 25 years of retirement, he enjoyed his family, fly fishing, his Apple computer, and many humorous correspondences with his military and school buddies near and far. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 4-8pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. The Memorial Service will be Saturday March 21, 2015 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
