![]() Cleo Helen Istvan, 80, of Waldorf, MD passed away on March 13, 2015 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. She was born on June 16, 1934 in Verona, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Christopher Randas and Clara Carneli Randas.
Cleo was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family enough to take in her brother-in-law and his four children. In her younger years, Cleo loved going to Bingo at ADF two or three times a week. She also enjoyed playing cards, watching old movies on the Hallmark Channel, and the hummingbirds she fed every year. Cleo and her husband Jimmy loved to cook and are best remembered for their cookouts and crab feasts held in their backyard. In addition to her parents, Cleo was predeceased by her husband James R., and brothers, John, Bill, Paul, Peter and Andrew Randas; sisters, Anna Palko, Mary Taylor, and Theodora Goode. Cleo is survived by her sons, James J. Istvan (wife Maryalice), Michael A. Istvan, David R. Istvan, Paul M. Istvan (Lara), and Francis B. Istvan (Cynthia); daughter, Judith Ann Windsor (husband Richard); grandchildren, Laura, Michelle, Michael, Stephanie, Christopher, Jillian, Dustin, Joshua, Sarah, Francis Jr., Jennifer, John, Stephanie, Jason, Katherine, Ben and Kristie, and 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 6-8 pm with prayers at 7pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617 on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery.
