James Russell Green, 78 of La Plata, MD died February 25, 2015 at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" Green and Queenie Green; and three month old daughter, Russhell. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann E. Green and son, Russell Stewart Green.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD. The Rev. Robert Buchmeier will celebrate and Fr. Scott Holmer will concelebrate. Burial will take place at MD Veteran's Cemetery at Cheltenham a later date.
