Paul Norman Conrad, Jr., 85, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on February 26, 2015 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. Born May 24, 1929 in Orange, NJ he was the beloved son of the late Paul N. Conrad, Sr. and the late Frances L. (VanDyke) Conrad. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his daughter, Karen Lynne Conrad; his eldest son, John Norman Conrad; and his first wife, Marilyn Ruth Anderson Conrad.

Paul was a master Electrician with Local 26 IBEW prior to his retirement. His hobbies were playing the piano, listening to music, the classic radio shows and Johnny Carson. He loved working on old radios, cars and anything else that needed "fixing." He enjoyed having family cookouts and gatherings with friends and family. He was very active in his church and enjoyed spending time with his church family.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Georgianna (McLaughlin) Conrad; sons, Mark Paul Conrad (Victoria Valentine) and Christopher Van Conrad (Kathi Tiedeman); step-daughters, Robin Joy Windsor (Walter), Laurie Ann Meeks, Patricia C. Whitaker (Rob) and Kelly J. Mattingly; his brother Leigh A. Conrad (Phyllis); and many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and loving friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 27108 Mt. Zion Church Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at the Church, followed with Interment at the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members.

Arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Donations may be made to: Mt. Zion United Methodist Church (or) Dentsville EMS and Auxiliary, Inc.
