Catherine Ann "Sissy" Stone, 77, of Park Hall, MD passed away on February 7, 2015 in Callaway, MD. Born on September 6, 1937 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Theresa Agnes Higgs Ford and George Ignatius "Nace" Ford.

Catherine was the loving wife of Robert Louis Stone, whom she married in Our Lady's Catholic Church in Medley's Neck, MD on October 10, 1956.

Catherine is survived by her children; Robert "Moe" Stone, Kelly Sonntag (Billy) of Avenue, MD, Sandra Schlosser of California, MD, Roberta Sola (Jon) of St. Mary's City, MD ,5 grandchildren; Kimberly Murray, Bobby Lee Raley, Adam Schlosser, Bella Sola, and Evan Sola, 4 great grandchildren; Kori Raley, Kyndle Raley, Gunner Raley, and Rowan Murray. Siblings; Agnes Kerig of Elizabeth City, NC, George Ford of Suffolk, VA, and Bernice Fairfax of Lexington Park, MD.

She was a lifelong resident of St. Mary's County, MD and graduated from St. Mary's Academy High School in 1955, and was a homemaker. Sissy enjoyed painting, reading and gardening.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Holy Face Catholic Church Great Mills, MD with Father Jerry Gamrot officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Steve Schlosser, Billy Sonntag, Jon Sola, Bobby Lee Raley, Adam Schlosser, and Eric Murray.
