Joseph Harry Goldsmith, age 70, of Cobb Island, MD, died on January 31, 2015 at his residence with Hospice. Joe was born on October 15, 1944 and was a life-long resident of Charles County.

He worked as a steamfitter at the Indian Head Naval Base (N.O.S.) until his retirement in 2012. He enjoyed life on Cobb Island. He always had a smile on his face and was always happy to lend a hand. Joe was happiest at home with his family. Most days you could find him in the garage working on a project or just watching TV.

He is the son of the late Archie Theodore Goldsmith and the late Rena Luvina Oliver Goldsmith. He is also predeceased by his brothers, Chester, Wayne, and William Goldsmith. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Wise Goldsmith; his children, Douglas Goldsmith and his wife Robin, Joseph Goldsmith, Jr. and his wife Candyce, and Lisa Farrell and her husband Ronald Farrell; his brother, Dallas Goldsmith and his wife Sharon; and his grandchildren, Teagan, Ryleigh, Cassidy, Selena, Alexis, and Christian.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Cobb Island Rescue Squad. Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.
