Mr. Thornton was a retired Supply Manager at Andrews Air Force Base with over 15 years of service. Prior to his time with Andrews he was a long-time Bouncer at local clubs in Southern Maryland. He was an avid fisher and hunter. He was very sociable, had many friends, and loved going to the flea market. Cherished by his nephews and cousins.

Son of the late Lawrence E. Thornton and the late Mary A. Banks Thornton..

Predeceased by his parents, and his wife, Sharon Thornton.

Survived by his one son, Timothy Thornton of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two brothers, Timmy (Emmy) Warwick of North Carolina and Holly Warwick of Va.; one sister, Carol Stevenson of Linthicum, Md.; three nephews: Eddy, Charley, and Thomas Stevenson.

Visitation on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 5-8 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Md.

Service on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11 AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Md. Clergy will be Rev. Mark Roberson. Interment at Resurrection cemetery, Clinton, Md.
