Terry R. Butler, age 55, of North Beach, MD died March 23, 2008 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD. He was born November 8, 1952 in Washington, D.C. and raised in Suitland, MD where he attended Suitland Jr. and Sr. High Schools. He married Karen L. Baird on February 16, 1971 and they lived in Hyattsville, Bladensburg and Bowie before moving to Calvert County in 1987.

He was an automobile mechanic and worked for Martin and Boyd Spring Works in Washington. He retired in 1982 due to a work related injury. In retirement he developed Speedway Productions, an auto racing video production company. His show Southern Maryland Motor Sports has appeared on the local cable channel in Southern Maryland for the past 15 years.

He is survived by his wife Karen, sons Terry Jr. and Jesse Butler of the home, his mother Alice Butler of Chesapeake Beach, a brother John Butler of Severn, MD and his twin sisters Judy Wagaman (husband Harris) and Janet Ricks (husband Larry). Preceded in death by his father John Watson Butler, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held Friday March 28 at 1:30 P.M. at Rausch Funeral Home in Owings. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens in Dunkirk.
