Jessie Olive Healey Porter, 83 of Charlotte Hall, MD, formerly of Pasadena, MD, died October 7, 2006 at the Maryland Veterans Home in Charlotte Hall, MD. She served in the United States Army as a Registered nurse during WWII and later as an Industrial RN for Locke Industries. Mrs. Porter was a member of the Red Hat Society and a life long member of the Eastern Star in Pittsburg, PA.

Born November 20, 1922 in Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late James and Nina Bish Healey. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John T. Porter, children, Kathy Baker, of LasVegas, NV Ethel Porter, of Annapolis, MD, Kirby Porter, of Virginia Beach, VA, Eric Porter of Baltimore, MD and Warren Porter of Garland, TX, sisters, Alda Kroot of FL and Annabel Painter of PA, also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8pm in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622, where a Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
