Margaret M. (Maggie) Wildermann, Age 60, died peacefully at home on Friday, March 21, 2008 in the presence of her beloved family in La Plata, Maryland.

Daughter of the late Opie Bittle and Peggy Crosby Bittle. Beloved wife of Charles P. Wildermann. Mother of Patrick Wildermann of Seattle, WA, David Wildermann of Raleigh, NC and Andrew Wildermann of Greenville, NC. Sister of Michael (Cecelia) Bittle of Portsmouth, VA and Joanne (Robert) Randolph of Norfolk, VA. Also survived by numerous other family members and loved ones.

Maggie was born in New York and grew up in Norfolk, VA. After completing her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Ed/Education from Old Dominion University and a Master's Degree in Urban Education/English from Morgan State, she embarked on a stellar career in education. Margaret's passion for teaching is best summed up in her own words: "One of my prime objectives as a teacher is to convince students that they can achieve more than they even thought possible. I want my students to be proud of themselves and their accomplishments, to realize that self-esteem is earned, not bestowed." Margaret was an educator for 27 years, including 13 years at Maurice J. McDonough High School and three and a half years at Yeshiva of Greater Washington. She was a member of the National Council of Teachers of English and of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, Maryland.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at Sacred Heart Church La Plata, MD at 10AM. Interment Church Cemetery.
