Luther Kenneth "Kenny" Burroughs, 89, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away January 11, 2015 at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Born August 12, 1925 in Mechanicsville, MD, he was the son of Edward Ray Burroughs and Esther Hancock Burroughs. Kenny was a lifelong farmer, devoted husband and family man.

He was a member of All Faith Episcopal Church, a past Lieutenant with the Mechanicsville Fire Department, a member of the St. Mary's County Minutemen (National Guard) and the Immaculate Conception Baseball Team. Kenny enjoyed gardening, watching the Redskins and Orioles, sitting on the front porch, taking the grandkids to the school bus, eating hardcrabs, stripping tobacco with friends, hunting and sharing a good laugh. He was very devoted to volunteering his time to help others. In earlier years, he would raise and donate his crops to benefit the church. His garden was always plentiful and he enjoyed sharing it with friends and neighbors.
