Alton Jackson, 65, of Nanjemoy died March 15, 2008 at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, Maryland. Born on April 11, 1942, in Nanjemoy, son of the late William Henry Brown and the late Alice Jackson.

He was baptized at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith located in Ironsides, Maryland. He attended Mount Hope Elementary School and Pomonkey High School and worked for the Department of Defense for over 25 years before retiring in 1995 as a supply technician.

He is survived by his dedicated sister, Belinda JoAnn Brown; brother, Thomas Francis(Margaret) Jackson; sister Dorothy Carroll; aunts, Ada and Audrey Jackson and a host of many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. March 22 at Thornton Funeral Home, Pomonkey, Maryland. Interment Services at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith Cemetery.
