Ersel Virginia Melton, 86, of Lexington Park, MD died March 17, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.

Born November 22, 1921 in Winston Salem, NC, she was the daughter of the late Eustis Holder and Matilda Welch Holder.

Mrs. Melton is survived by a son, Rohn Melton of Lexington Park, MD, a daughter, Brenda Bentely of Richmond, VA, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Cullen Lewis Melton.

The family received relatives and friends on Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was conducted at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
