Mr . Tackish was a contracts manager for over 30 years in commercial construction. He enjoyed golfing, playing in many tournaments, boating, fishing, hunting, archery, and the outdoors. He loved his pets, and being with his family.

Son of the late Paul Tackishand the living Gloria E. Hash of Woodstock, Va..

Predeceased by his father and step-father, Sam Hash.

Survived by his wife, Susan A,.Hamilton Tackish, one son, Stephen S. Tackish,Jr., of Myrtle Beach, Va., one brother, Paul M. (Pamela) Tackish of Pomfret, Md., one sister, Bonnie M. (Fred) Smith of Woodstock, Va., one aunt, Shelby Graves, step-mother, Billie Jo Tackish. Also survived by four nephews, and three great nieces.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 5-8pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Md.

Funeral Service on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11 AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Interment will be private. Clergy will be Rev. Mark Roberson.
