Ashley "Ash" Victoria Brumm, 31, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on October 19, 2014 at her residence. She was born on January 15, 1983 in Washington, DC to Glenn Thomas Brumm, Jr. of Aldie, VA and Victoria Leigh (Galvin) Polk of Mechanicsville, MD.
Ashley loved spending time with her son, Aiden and hanging out with family and friends. She enjoyed playing card games on the computer. Ashley was currently working as an EMT for Patriot Medical Transport Systems, LLC. She joined Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad in August 2012 and Prince Frederick Volunteer Rescue Squad in March 2013. She obtained her EMT certification and became a driver in 2013. She was on the fundraising and public relations committees with the Prince Frederick Rescue Squad and was their Assistant Engineer. Ashley was currently one of Mechanicsville's top 5 drivers. She responded on many calls for service and always performed with dedication. Ashley was an essential member of the MVRS and PFVRS families. She was the regular driver for the Tuesday night crew at Mechanicsville. This crew was a close knit group that spent time together both inside and outside of the squad. Ashley was always smiling and had a bubbly personality. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Ashley is survived by her father, Glenn T. Brumm, Jr.; mother and step-father, Victoria L. Polk and James W. Polk; son, Aiden Patrick Brumm; fiancé, Mike Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Terrie and Mark Brynteson; niece, Gabrielle Delaney Brynteson; nephews, Michael Polk, Nathan Polk and Derek Brynteson; cousins, Jimmy and Lauren Galvin and their son, Noah; and many other family members and friends. Family and friends will be received for Ashley's Memorial Life Celebration Gathering on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Memorial Service will begin on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ashley's memory may be made to: Mechanicsville Rescue Squad or Prince Frederick Rescue Squad. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home. |
