Ronald Elbert Wood, Sr., 78, of Charlotte Hall, MD passed away October 12, 2014 at Washington Hospital Center. Born June 3, 1936 in Clinton, MD, he was the son of John Elbert Wood and Hilda Magdalene Simmons Wood.

Ronald worked as an electrical inspector for WSSC (Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission) until his retirement. He then became co-owner, working with his son Ron, at Wood Brothers Doors and Hardware in Mechanicsville, MD. He enjoyed yard sales, collecting clocks, watching game shows, taking Sunday drives, doing word searches and loved dogs.

Predeceased by his parents and sister, Beverly Ann Peters, Ronald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Florence Bauman Wood; children, Ron Wood, Rhonda Jackson (husband, Jamie), John Wood (wife, Lisa) and Robin LeBlond, MD (husband, Kelly); 4 grandchildren, Jason Jackson (fiancé, Jessie), Christina Brown (husband, William), Madelyn LeBlond and Eli LeBlond; 1 great grandchild, Jason Jackson, Jr.

The family will have a Memorial Life Celebration at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ronald's name to the Mechanicsville Rescue Squad, P.O.
